Email to English teacher on the importance of inclusive education
Subject– Importance of inclusive education
In today scenario we all need to understand the Importance of inclusive education but first we have to get familiar with the meaning of Inclusive education or what is the meaning of inclusive education. When children with and without disabilities participate or attend the same sports meets and plays and learn together in the same classes is called inclusive education.
We all get used to the idea that special education meant separate education. But when children with and without disabilities are educated together, positive academic and social outcomes occur for all the children involved. An inclusive school where all students learn and participate together is a perfect training ground for real life. Students become more sensitive by learning side-by-side with special needs children. They practice patience, and learn harmony. Kids in inclusive schools learn that everyone has its own strengths and weaknesses. They learn to appreciate these differences and how to collaborate in order to accomplish something. This type of education also teaches kids the value of another human being—no matter what that person looks or sounds like.
In India where the field of special education is just coming into existence and funding is low, concept of inclusive education can be difficult to find. But it is very important to encourage the idea of inclusive education and to create greater awareness and opportunities for inclusion to create a better future for students.
