The Gingerbread Man Story

Once, an old woman lived with her husband in a small cottage on the bank of the river. One day she decided to make Gingerbread to eat. She prepared the dough and then cut a beautiful gingerbread man from it. He used blueberries for his eyes and buttons and used fine sugar for mouth and clothes. The woman kept her in the oven to bake it. She was surprised to see that Gingerbread man jumped out of the oven and shouted “Do not eat me!” And ran out of the window. The couple tried to follow him, but he was too sharp. “Run, run as fast as you can, you can not catch me, I am a gingerbread man,” he laughs and runs away.

On the way, he met a pig. The pig tried to eat it but the gingerbread guy was fast. “Run, run as fast as you can, you can not catch me, I’m a gingerbread man,” he said and continued running. The pig also started following him with that old man and woman. But the gingerbread man was faster. Next, he met a cow along the way. The cow said, “I want to eat you.” But the gingerbread man started to run again and the cow could not catch him. “Run, run as fast as you can! You can not catch me, I’m a gingerbread man!” he said.

After a while Gingerbread man met with the horse. “Stop, little man! I want to eat you! “The horse said, but Gingerbread man drove him out too.”Run, run as fast as you can, run! You can not catch me, I’m a gingerbread man!” Now everyone began to chase him, but the Gingerbread man only laughed at him, he laughs as long as he has not reached the river. He cried, “Oh no! Now they will catch me and eat! If I cross the river, then I can be safe” he thought suddenly a fox struck him.” Please, do not eat me, “said the gingerbread man. The fox promised that” I just want to help you, I will not eat you “!”Sit down on my back, I’ll swim and cross the river and you’ll be safe.”

Gingerbread man had no choice. He sat on the back of the fox and they crossed the river safely. As soon as they stepped on the dry ground, Gingerbread man thanked the fox. But at the same moment the fox opened his mouth and ate the gingerbread man.
