Short Essay on 'A Visit to Golden Temple' (215 Words)

A visit to a historical place is always an exciting experience. It is a fascinating adventure. I had one such experience during the last summer vacations, when I visited Amritsar.

With my family, I reached Amritsar by train. After some rest, we undertook a visit to Amritsar. Amritsar is a historical city. We visited the Golden Temple first. The Golden Temple in Amritsar is the holiest shrine of the Sikh region. This Temple has been destroyed many times and had been rebuilt again. It was built during the reign of Akbar, who had great respect for all religions. The domes of the Temple are covered in gold.

Golden Temple of Amristar is also known as Harmandar Sahib or Darbar Sahib. It is a great pilgrimage centre of the Sikhs. The holy temple was completed under the direct control and supervision of Guru Arjan Dev. It’s foundation stone was laid by a renowned Muslim divine, Mian Mir. It was given four doors, one in each direction. It has a large pool around it.

By noon, we had completed the tour of Golden Temple and returned back. I enjoyed my trip to the Golden Temple very much. It was really an unforgettable experience which apart from being intellectually rewarding gave us a glimpse of our country’s proud history.

Essay On My Vision Corruption Free India- Corruption Free India

Here we are with Essay On My Vision Corruption Free India describing how to get Corruption Free India and why we need a Corruption Free country. Read about paragraph on My Vision Corruption Free India.

Essay on My Vision Corruption Free India

In August 1942 “Quit India” slogan was chanted by the nation asking the British to leave India and within five years British actually quit India. After 70 years of Independence in the same month of August Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given one more slogan to nation “Corruption Free India”. Corruption is not a new term for us almost every day we heard about this evil and ill effects. Many global rating agencies continue to rate India as among the most corrupt countries in the world.

Corruption enters in the roots of nation, sorry to say but every one of us is corrupt in one and the same way. People don’t look down on corruption because they have accepted it as a way of life. Corruption free India is like a dream which I often see. My Vision for Corruption Free India is to get a nation free from black money, terrorism, illegal activities, where all section of society get basic facilities of life (Food, Accommodation, Education and Employment). I want a happy India where honest politicians and bureaucrats will work hard for people’s welfare instead of satisfying their own hunger of money and power. The cancer of corruption preventing India from becoming a prosperous and developed nation. But all is not lost. The power of vote gives us the power to change the corrupt officials and elect educated, honest, hardworking and leaders.

Corruption free India can be achieved with the collective support of common people, government and judiciary. India of my dreams should be practical and sustainable enough to accommodate all its citizens happily. An ideal India should be free from corruption and all other social evils. Good education is the key to get this kind of India as value education can helpful in curbing corruption and fighting poverty directly or indirectly so it should be the part of school curriculum for sure. Now days Honesty is treated as outdated, we need to make honesty as the new trend and the scenario will change itself. Apart from political economic changes, the changed social values have also contributed to the rampant corruption in the country.

Let’s take a pledge to make our India corruption free, say no to bribe. Do not break law and orders or use your contacts, money or power to get your work done. To eradicate corruption we all have to come together and fight and against it by raising our voice high against the corrupt system and officials.

What If I had a Time Machine?

What If I had a Time Machine? :

  • If I had a time machine I would change many things from the past
  • If I had a time machine I would erase all bad systems from the society
  • I would re-frame the education system of our country
  • I would eliminate violence from our world
  • I would make a peaceful world that everybody loves to be in

What If I had a Time Machine? : (Short Essay)

An imaginary but a question that is worth asking What If I had a Time Machine? Everybody loves to have control in their hands and what if it really was. If I had a time machine with me, I would kept the “Good Things” in the world and erased all the “Bad things” from the world. I would implement all my dreams so that I can change the entire course of history.  I would bring in new ideas that leads to beautiful and very finely rewritten present. There are a lot of things that we can change in the society and I would do it all if I had a time machine.

What If I had a Time Machine? : (Brief Essay)

We all would have heard about concepts like Time Travel and Time Machine. An unproven concept still amazing to imagine – Time Machine can take us either to the past or to the future. This gave a thought to me for a while – What if I had a time machine?

My friends and I were discussing on this topic and we came with so many interesting and funny ideas. While, we were on a debate what to choose – past or future most of us opted the past. Yes, going to the future might be a bit risky since we never know how the world would be after any particular time. But, at the same time, choosing to go to the past at least is more or less a known path. Since we know the past, we can go to the time period we wish to be in.

We discussed on what changes we can make if we had a Time Machine and we were able to make a journey to 1900. Roughly 115 years journey is what we decided to make if we had a Time Machine and we came out with plans like:

  • Re-framing past in such a way that we have useful and effective social reforms
  • Changing the course of Science and Technology towards a pollution free environment
  • Banishing armed forces, weapons and such other violence from the world
  • Eradicating the systems of the society which leads to extremely different set of people – Very rich people and beggars. We will design the past in such a way that people live prosperously

Our ideas were accumulating and we decided to make the changes if possible in the present and become a great visionary of the same.
